Community leaders cap-off a year of celebrating the 125th Anniversary of Family & Children's Center.

Family & Children's Center recently concluded a year of commemorating a milestone that is rarely achieved among businesses or not-for-profit agencies:  the achievement of 125 years helping children and families in northern Indiana.

On Friday, December 14, 2007, community leaders met at the historic Palais Royale for an evening of celebration and dancing. 

Family & Children's Center President and CEO, Bruce Greenberg, observed,  "Michiana has answered the call for 125 years when we needed assistance and support, so to have the community's continued support for this celebration is an exceptional gift.  Because of our dedicated event committee members like chairs Carmi and Chris Murphy, and every one of the 250-plus attendees, the Gala is a shining tribute to the last 125 years."

Proceeds from the gala, which raised $200,000, will be placed in the Family & Children's Center Foundation to guarantee that even as the needs of the community evolves, meaningful services will always be available.
